Position 1Resource Development & Management Specialist


Job Requirements  

KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE  

Required Professional Experience 

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated field-based experience with grant accession and management including experience working with USG, UN agencies, and EU offer funding process. 
  • Experience in project concept/ proposal writing to a high standard. 
  • Very high attention to detail, with experience refining and editing professional-level content. 
  • Advanced writing skills in English. 
  • Experience in large-scale philanthropic  emergencies 
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English 
  • Good understanding of working with and the donor regulations of USAID/ BHA, EU, UNOCHA, etc 
  • Good understanding of World Vision and Sphere relief standards, as well as the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct. 
  • Strong capacity-building and facilitation skills 
  • Ability to complete tasks promptly. 
  • Ability to pursue thoroughness and applicable attention to detail. 
  • Capability to express self clearly in all forms of writing. 
  • Ability to identify gaps, trends, priorities, and crucial issues. 
  • Ability to describe crucial aspects and issues of relief, development, and advocacy. 
  • Ability to maintain strong links with major NGOs, donors, and government agencies. 
  • Ability to explain WV’s work concerning issues of poverty, power, justice, and peace. 
  • Ability to respect and relate appropriately to people of other faiths. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships 
  • Ability to interpret and present information with influence and impact. 
  • Self-starter who can work  singly under pressure 
  • Completed a recognised  particular security course in the  once 3 years 
  • Knowledge of WV’s field operations, either in the relief or development context.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity, and physical stamina 
  • Ability to manage work life and work without supervision 
  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment 
  • Ability to maintain performance expectations in psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources   Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, International Relations, or a related field. ( Required) Master's Degree in the aforementioned fields is( Desirable)   
  • Hostile Environmental Awareness Training or other recognized particular security course. (Preferred)   
  • Further reciprocal professional qualifications in MEAL, IM, etc are an asset.

Position 2 SPIR II Microfinance and IGA Officer  

Job Requirements  

Required Professional Experience 

  • 5 years ’ related work experience for BA and 3 years ’ related work experience for MA/ MSc in supporting the designing and implementation of Agriculture or value chain development projects 
  • Experience in private and NGO sector  

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification 

  • B.A. orM.A. Degree in applicable fields Finance, Business, International Development, Economics/ Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Cooperative Development, or other applicable fields

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications 

  • Experience should include requirements assessments, baseline surveys, field program design, implementation and monitoring, and evaluation. 
  • Experience in loan product design, designing interventions with MFIs, capacity structure, extension service, and innovation in  fiscal inclusion for the poor 
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in Afan Oromo and Amharic 
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English 
  • Experience using Savix MIS and VSLA/ VESA methodology 

Strong network among the organizations applicable for microfinance and financial inclusion.

Position 3 Area Program fellow  

Job Requirements  

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification 

  • BA/BSc Degree in Development Studies. An advanced degree in Social Sciences related to development work, HEA, and advocacy is preferred. A master's degree is an advantage.  

Required Professional Experience 

  • a minimum of 3 years ’ experience with regards to the designing, planning, implementation, supervising, and reporting on integrated development,  exigency, and advocacy systems and at least 2 years ’ experience in managing complex grants and programs projects with significant experience in overseeing large multi-year programs. 
  • Moreover, experience in insecure and hostile environments with complex conflict-driven IDP influx, safety and security management, etc  Other Competencies Attributes 
  • Computer skills. 
  • Demonstrated supervision ability. 
  • suitable to contextualize development models innovatively. 
  • Be confirmed and suitable to form a connection to the community – and must demonstrate a passion for living and working in the ADP area. 
  • Be commission-concentrated as opposed to service delivery. 
  • suitable to engage religious leaders of all faiths by mobilizing them to promote holistic development. 
  • Experience in working with donor funds, sponsorship operations, and grant funding. 
  • Working knowledge of disaster management, emergency preparedness, monitoring and evaluation, and sphere standards are added advantages. 
  • Good planning and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to maintain effective working connections with all situations of staff and other stakeholders.
