COMMUNITY GOAL

  • The Supply Chain and Logistics Team will provide professional, business-focused support for logistics in particular, using proactive, solutions-based approaches to resolve issues and making sure that operational business requirements are effectively managed in order to deliver organizational results and support program goals.
  • PURPOSE OF THE STUDENT INTERNSHIP
    The purpose of this internship is to recruit a supply chain intern who will work with the Addis Ababa supply chain and logistics team. The role owner will assist the logistics team with a variety of supply-related tasks.

Supply chain management

  • Responsible for all essential files, data flow, and overall procurement files that adhere to established criteria.
  • Each project folder, upload scanned documents to Box, then distribute the Box link every two weeks.
  • Facilitating prompt payment for suppliers
  • Make sure all statements, invoices, purchase orders, and contracts are read before being paid for or signed.
  • By helping with OXFAM and donor compliance requirements, support the Supply team.
  • Help the supply team create contracts, send out Tors, and send out tender paperwork on time.
  • Organize the meetings of the tender committee in the supply chain officer’s absence.
  • Keep a proper record of all procurement-related decisions, actions, and contracts so that accountability and auditing purposes can be met.
  • Communicate with the logistics crew in a proactive and efficient manner (procurement, fleet, warehouse).
  • establishing and preserving morally upright, business-like partnerships with suppliers.

Fleet Administration:

  • Make sure that the nation program tracks all vehicle information correctly and that track point information is updated.
  • Each vehicle’s fuel consumption information needs to be entered into Teramar promptly.
  • Verify that all cars have the necessary onboard paperwork and that all paperwork, including insurance, is up-to-date.
  • Make sure that vehicle logbooks are completed truthfully and that the state of the vehicles is noted.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly fleet reports in close collaboration with the fleet officer.
  • Engage in scheduled vehicle maintenance
