Position 1: Description for a Junior Quality Assurance Inspector
Location: Addis Ababa
Purpose:
The preparation of samples and chemical analysis at the chemical laboratory are under the purview of the quality assurance inspector.
In addition to analysing the chemical composition of tobacco samples from BCL and green leaves, they are also evaluating the quality of stem and lamina products used in the BCL operation process.
In addition, the sending of IS, CAS1, CAS3, and CPA samples to JTI units is the responsibility of quality assurance inspectors.
Principal Responsibilities
Chemical evaluation
sample preparation for stem and deterioration testing, as well as for chemical analysis.
Chemical test preparation and standardisation
cleaning, drying, and placement of glassware in the appropriate locations
following chemical analysis.
Aftercare for chemical storage.
Dryness testing
For cross-checking halogen analyzers and other moisture measuring tools, use HOV moisture analysis.
Regular HOV moisture analysis for the purpose of collaborative research and effective use of input.
Sample distribution
Keep track of the samples’ delivery from Robi and Hawassa and their proper receipt.
sending of the assembled composite samples (CAS1, CAS3, and CPA) to the targeted JTI units.
handling of lab equipment
handling laboratory equipment properly, monitoring performance, and reporting in the event of any maintenance or failure.
the correct storage and handling of equipment accessories, operating instructions, rules, and job instructions.
Follow up on the calibration of your lab equipment and use the results in your daily operations.

Position Requirements
Education:
BSC Having a degree in chemical engineering, industrial chemistry, or applied chemistry.
Job Background:No prior work experience is necessary.

Position 2: Junior Quality Control Inspector
Location: Robi, Amhara
Purpose:
quality assurance Inspectors are in charge of overseeing BCL operation to make sure that quality satisfies JTI standards. Also, it is their duty to examine and evaluate the stem and lamina products’ quality.
Additionally, quality control inspectors gather samples and create composite samples for delivery to ETP1 in order to determine stem and lamina, perform CAS1 and CAS3 tests, and determine moisture cross-checking.
Principal Responsibilities

For stem and lamina, CAS1, CAS3, moisture, chemical testing, and moisture cross-checking determination, samples are collected during the production process.
preparation and delivery of samples creation of a composite sample for stem, lamina, CAS1, CAS3, chemical test, and determination of moisture cross-checking.

Optimal Equipment Performance

Using a halogen analyzer to detect moisture, record findings, provide feedback to workers, and monitor process stability.
Moisture test for the formation of lamina and long stems.
